Concrete for interior design

Concrete

This weekend, Interior Design Magazine published a piece on Fu-Tung Cheng in recognition of the launch of his speciality architectural-concrete products- including ShapeCrete. Take a look over these five very different but equally stunning designs and draw some inspiration of your own, if you plan on integrating concrete into your kitchen design! Contemporary Concrete Kitchens.

Here’s 5 of our favourites:

1. Floating concrete Island
This kitchen encompasses how best to get that sleek, modern design with the use of this visually stunning concrete countertop.

2. Pitt Cooking
For those that feel there’s a lack of uniformity when installing the cooker and hob elements to a kitchen then this new technique from the guys at Poggenpohl could be the answer.

This revolutionary design allows full integration of the cooker into the worktop itself.

3. All concrete everything
Extending the concrete from the worktop to the walls, shelves and cabinets could be what you need to help give your kitchen that strong, clean industrial feel.

4. Blue grey concrete splashback
With grey being the ‘in’ colour with wooden floors at the moment, this example of blue hues in the concrete with a large full-size splash back might be a convenient way to beautifully tie in those floors with the kitchen without feeling to overpowering.

5. Ultimate Minimalism using concrete
If you’re not yet convinced on the benefits of integrating concrete into your kitchens then perhaps this example will help sway you with how well it achieves that ever contemporary minimalist look.
